Glass vase, "Pilari", Kaj Franck, Nuutajarvi Notsjo, 1962. Signed: K. Franck Nuutajarvi Notsjo - 62 (incised). Height 10.9 inches (27.7 cm); Width 3.8 inches (9.7 cm). Excellent condition. Deep blue, inner layer encased in gray tinted, clear crystal. The shape formed by cut and polished, smooth facets of unequal width on six sides. The optic effects create various shades of yellow and green in the outer layer depending on lighting and the viewer's perspective. SOLD |
