An early and important glass bowl, "Bridal Veil", Gunnel Nyman, Nuutajarvi Notsjo, 1947. Signed: Gunnel Nyman Nuutajarvi 1947 (faint acid brush). Diameter 8.9 inches (22.6 cm), Height 3.2 inches (8.1 cm). Excellent condition. Internal decoration of controlled bubbles suspended in a pale, plum-colored crystal. Gunnel Nyman's stellar career with Nuutajarvi lasted only from 1946-48. It is rare to find a piece from this seminal, development period. SOLD |
