Stoneware bowl, "Farsta", Wilhelm Kage, Gustavsberg, 1949. Signed: "G with Studio Hand" Gustavsberg (impressed) S Kage Farsta (incised). Excellent condition. Diameter 5.4 inches (13.7 cm), Height 3.1 inches (7.9 cm). Semi-matte, aqua blue glaze with tan highlights cover the interior and exterior. The glaze ends about 1 inch (2.5 cm) above the foot revealing the unglazed, incised body. A carved, scallop design circles the upper rim. A bold, heavy piece. $750.00 |
