Important stoneware vase, "Farsta", Wilhelm Kage, Gustavsberg, 1956. Signed: Farsta (impressed eight times on feet) "G with Studio Hand" Kage (impressed) A (small oval above). Height 6.5 inches (16.5 cm), Diameter 6.6 inches (16.8 cm). Excellent condition. Neck and shoulder with vertical, incised decoration in matte tones of brown and tan. Sides with incised cross hatching in matte glaze of dark brown and tan. Heavy squat form rests upon eight, unglazed feet. An advanced piece. SOLD |
