Erich and Ingrid Triller

Erich Triller (1898 - 1972) and Ingrid Triller (1905 - 1982) represented Scandinavian studio ceramics as the most pure standard achievable. They studied ceramics in Germany at the Staatliche Keramische Fachschule from 1929 to 1932; followed by two years under the famous Bauhaus instructor, Otto Lindig. Their studio, Tobo, was established in Sweden in 1935. They continued at their partnership dedicated to the art of ceramics until 1972.

The Trillers focused on simple, restrained forms; their glazes were similarly pure and elegant. Erich and Ingrid Triller achieved many awards and forms of recognition; but the highest was inclusion in the studio ceramics collection of King Gustavus VI Adolphus.
