Olle Alberius

Olle Alberius (1926-1993) trained in ceramics at the Stockholm College of Art, Craft and Design from 1952-1956. He worked in ceramics design at Syco, followed by Rorstrand until 1971, joining Orrefors in that year. Alberius designed glass using the traditional Orrefors techniques of Ariel, Graal, cutting and engraving; but it was his creations using engraved figures floating over colored backgrounds that were most important. He also used colored inlays to enhance engraved designs.
